Kurt is known for a body of work that chronicles the earlier days of the HIV/ AIDS epidemic, at that time his work was exhibited widely and documented in the media. Kurt’s work has been exhibited at The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, The Somerville Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, among others - including galleries, and private and public venues.
In the broader sweep of Kurt's social/political work has also addresses racism, sexism, environmental concerns, LGBTI+ & homophobia and international conflict and war.
